I think the reason so many people like Cassie is that she’s beautifully lost. You can see in everything she does, she smiles so much, but she really wants to cry. She doesn’t know how lovely she is, she only sees the pain and the mess. People kind of idolize her because she is so beautiful, and tries so hard to find it in herself. What people don’t realize is that she is no different than them. We all have no fucking idea how beautiful we are. We all try so hard to see the good in ourselves when we only see it in others. We think there’s no way we could actually be beautiful, so we hurt ourselves to make up for the emptiness. The truth is, when people look at you, they really do think “oh, wow, lovely”
